From The Master

Dear Parents

First: a quick comment on traffic. Please note that the Skylight Building Car Park currently has only one lane entry. Even though the road outside it has two lanes. Please do not cut into the line of cars waiting to enter. I’ve drawn a picture, which I hope helps to explain. British people sometimes talk as if we invented queueing – but of course we didn’t: it’s good manners wherever you go :)

Yesterday, I was just enjoying a nice cup of tea when our video team popped in to say hello. I told them a bit about this week (see here).

Today we did our Fire Drill with the local fire service in attendance. Luckily, the weather held! I am always very grateful to them for supporting us. When we met in my study after the drill to debrief, I was once again impressed by their professional expertise and excellent advice. If an emergency were to happen, we would be in very good hands.

This is a long weekend – so I’ll see you on Tuesday. Enjoy the mini - holiday!

With best wishes

Chris

New Date Confirmed: Campus Development Update with the Master

Further to previous communications, please accept our apologies for having to reschedule the Campus Improvement Plan presentation which was due to take place on 7 May 2025.  It is now confirmed for 8am on Friday 6 June 2025 in the Theatre instead.

As previously mentioned, this will be a great opportunity for members of our community to receive an update on both the progress in the Crowthorne building and future development plans for the school.  We hope you can still join us.

Welcome Back Term 3!

What a fantastic start to Term 3! This week the hallways of both our Junior and Senior Schools were filled with laughter, excitement, and the energy of new beginnings. It was a delight to see so many smiling faces at drop-off and to feel the positive energy filling each classroom as our students settled back into school life. Here’s to a new term full of growth, friendship, and unforgettable moments, we’re so glad to have everyone back!

Global Citizenship Week 🌍

This week, our campus was buzzing with energy and excitement as students across all year groups embraced the spirit of global citizenship. From fun cultural experiences to hands-on learning, we celebrated what it truly means to be part of a diverse, interconnected world.

In the Junior School, students took a virtual trip to Japan diving into the world of origami, manga drawing, and traditional dance. They also explored the sport of Kabaddi, the national game of Bangladesh, building teamwork and having a blast!

The highlight of the week came on 1 May with our vibrant Global Food Fair. Students and families came together to share delicious snacks from across the globe—Sweden, Thailand, Germany, Japan, South Korea, China, France, USA, UK, Italy, Singapore, and Malaysia in a joyful celebration of culture and cuisine!

Meanwhile, in the Senior School, students baked homemade treats for the Bake Sale, and the Jumble Sale saw our whole community donate toys, clothes, and more to support local charities.

Over at the Theatre Plaza, Senior students led a fantastic Fundraising Fair, inviting local charities to set up booths while running games and selling goodies. Thanks to their dedication, our Global Social Leaders (GSL) groups raised an impressive 385,000 THB for causes they care deeply about.

A huge shout out to Ms Tanisha, our project lead, for organising this meaningful week. Her powerful message about global citizenship and environmental responsibility truly brought the whole experience to life!

Moments from the Global Citizenship Day

Enjoy this little peek at the photographs here. We’ll have more to share but here are some of our favourites. We also have a highlights film coming very soon.

Beyond the Classroom: Year 3 & 4 at Chaiyapruk Foundation

Our Year 3 and 4 students had a heartwarming day at the Chaiyapruk Foundation, a centre for abandoned children in Thailand, located in Nakhon Nayok. The foundation provides children with love, care, and a secure environment.

During their visit, our students helped clean the library and spaces, played team-building games, and exchanged popsicle pals with the children. It was a day full of smiles and meaningful connections. These out-of-classroom activities really help our students develop important life skills and understand the true value of kindness. It’s a reminder that learning extends far beyond the classroom and that each small act of compassion can make a big difference.
