FROM THE MASTER

Dear Parents

If you were at ‘Beauty and the Beast’ on Thursday evening (and many of you were), you will know what I thought of it.  To be honest, it’s never been my favourite actual story – but what a breathtaking show! It really is easy to sit in the audience and forget you are not watching a professional production: set, costumes, music (music!  Amazing!), dance – and acting.  We even got to see a pretty remarkable bit of stunt work (Mickey is fine!).  It was a brilliant ensemble piece, but I don’t think anyone will begrudge me a special mention for the astonishing poise, technical skill and exceptional stage presence of Hazon, as Belle.  Surely we have witnessed the birth of a star!

Tomorrow: Christmas Fayre.  See you there.

With best wishes

Chris

Hopefully lots of you were able to watch the incredible Beauty and the Beast production on either Wednesday or Thursday.  Mr Nicholls stopped by to chat with the musicians as they prepared for final rehearsals.  You can watch the video by clicking below.
HEAD OF JUNIOR SCHOOL

Dear Junior School Parents

This week I have had an amazing opportunity to visit Wellington College Shanghai, spending time at the school whilst connecting with many members of the wider Wellington community.

Being part of such a strong and collaborative family of schools is truly special, and I am so grateful for the chance to learn and share with colleagues who share the same passion for education and excellence as we do here in Bangkok.

I now can’t wait to return to our Wellington - I have missed everyone very much!

Christmas rehearsals are in full swing, and we look forward to sharing some wonderful musical performances with you all from next week. Please do come and support your child and their friends on their allocated day.

On another note, all Junior School children will soon be bringing home a brown paper bag. Please follow the instructions on the bag and fill it with some delicious treats for your child to bring back to school, ready for our end-of-term Christmas class gatherings with friends. Class teachers will share further details and key dates shortly.

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend - looking forward to seeing you at the Christmas Fayre on Saturday. I can’t wait!

Kind regards,

Hannah
