Dear Parents
Welcome back, and a very happy 2026 to you! So far it’s shaping up to be a very good year.
Thank you to everyone who came to support Thailand’s blood banks yesterday. The top floor of the Crowthorne Building transformed into a highly professional medical zone and parents, staff – even a student (over-18s only for blood donation) – came along. It is, of course, correct to donate blood if you are able to do so.
We are currently in the process of upgrading our official Line group communication system. This group is a very useful way for us to communicate quickly with you, when we need to, and for you to ask questions and get the information you need. The roll-out is phased over this month, so: if you have received an email, please follow the (very simple) instructions; if you have not yet received an email, don’t worry – we don’t send them all at the same time.
Please also check to ensure that the email addresses and contact details we hold for you are still correct.
It has been pleasantly cool these past few days. Very nice. Like an English summer (without the persistent drizzle).
Have a wonderful weekend
With best wishes
Chris

Dear Junior School Parents
Happy New Year 2026!
It has been a truly wonderful first week back, full of reconnection and energy after the Christmas break. A very warm welcome to all our new families who have joined us this term - we are delighted to have you as part of our Junior School and the wider Wellington community!
One of the highlights of this week has been our Elephant Ambassador Day, designed to help our children learn more about the vital work of elephant conservation and protection in Thailand. We were privileged to welcome Lek Chailert, the Founder of Save Elephant Foundation, to our assembly today. Listening to her speak about her work with the elephants and hopes for their future was such an inspiring way to further support us all in developing our aspirations as global citizens.
A huge thank you to all families for your generous donations to this important cause, and Ms McCraw for organising such a memorable day.
Looking ahead, next week promises more exciting adventures with both a Year 1 trip to Mini Murrah Farm – enriching the children’s upcoming learning all about animals - as well as the long-awaited Year 3 Residential in Chonburi. We can’t wait! We also have our Early Years PTCs – a fantastic opportunity to continue to build those vital home-school relationships.
Finally, a couple of reminders for families as we start this new term:
Waiting Locations at the End of the School Day
If you are waiting for a younger sibling at the end of the school day, please use one of the following spaces:
- Founder’s Hall
- Theatre Plaza
- Junior School Dining Room
- Copenhagen Café
Please note that the Skylight Building is not available for families with Junior School children. Thank you for helping us keep this area quiet and focused for Senior School learning at all times.
Uniform Expectations
Please ensure that your child comes to school each day wearing the correct uniform. From Year 1 upwards, shirts should be tucked in and black shoes must be worn on non-PE days. From Year 3, ties must also be worn correctly. Thank you for helping us maintain these standards - together we can ensure every child looks really smart and ready for an exciting day ahead.
Until next week, wishing you all a wonderful and restful weekend.
Kindest regards.
Hannah

Dear Parents,
Welcome Back to Lent Term
It was wonderful to see our students return this week, along with those joining our community for the first time. We are excited to begin what promises to be an action-packed term.
In assembly, I shared a few important reminders with students, which included the following; to arrive wearing the correct uniform and school shoes, be punctual to lessons, and to show kindness and respect at all times.
This Lent Term is a crucial period for our Year 11 and Year 13 students as they prepare for their final examinations, which begin at the end of April. We will continue to provide targeted support to ensure they feel confident and well-prepared.
Beyond academics, there are many exciting events and opportunities ahead, including co-curricular activities, wellbeing initiatives, and community events that enrich school life. We encourage all students to get involved and make the most of these experiences.
Just a reminder: I am always at Senior School Reception between 7:00 - 7:30am each morning, so if you would like to catch up informally, please feel free to stop by. Alternatively, I am more than happy to arrange a meeting - just drop me a line and we can find a suitable time.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year, and thank you for your continued support.
With best wishes,
Jane |
